Big Game Travel was born to redefine the way fans experience sports-themed travel.
During his 2nd year at Law School in 2000, Steve Nickel, started Sports
Travel Unlimited, which focused on taking fans to sporting events all over
the country. With this, he also started a sister company called Sports
Tickets Unlimited, which has been the largest ticket brokerage in the
Baltimore area for over 20 years. companies hosted fans From Baltimore
all over the country, and they visited every NFL and MLB city over the years.
In 2013, Steve met another Baltimore boy, Brian Snyder. Brian was creating
a Baltimore based super fan group, and building a mega tailgate
experience with his company, BMORE Around Town. After years of working
together, Steve and Brian joined forces in 2017 to start Big Game Travel.
Together, they wanted to provide opportunities for fans to travel
internationally and domestically to see their favorite teams. Since then, Big
Game Travel has hosted over 6,000 fans to London, Paris, Germany,
Austria, Brazil, and eager to offer more countries to their customers!
Growing beyond just sports, Big Game Travel has also hosted groups to
the world famous, Oktoberfest.
Together and growing as a team, Big Game Travel is the premier fan travel
company, providing fans with the ultimate, complete travel experiences for
sports and beyond!
Born & raised in Baltimore, MD with his BA and MBA, Steve attended law school looking for a new challenge, not knowing at the time where it would take him. After becoming an attorney in Maryland, Steve decided to devote his efforts to his new businesses he had created during his time in school.
Since then, Steve has spent countless hours to provide customers with once in a lifetime experiences through his passion- Big Game Travel. Steve is married with 4 kids, and moved to St. Augustine, Florida where him and his wife spend their time raising their youngest daughter, playing tennis, and enjoying the Florida sun!
Brian was born and raised in Maryland as a true Raven’s fan- ultimately becoming the owner of one of the leading tailgates in Baltimore. Brian founded his business in 2008 with the primary focus being Maryland based sports. After teaming up with Steve to work together in 2013, Steve and Brian decided to take their partnership to the next level by starting Big Game Travel.
Brian continues to reside in Maryland with his wife and their 3 kids. If Brian isn’t on the road or at the tailgate lot, he can be found creating memories with his
family.
Also born & *mostly* raised in Maryland, Jennifer graduated with her BA in 2016. After stumbling upon a Facebook post from Brian’s other business looking to hire in 2019, it has now (through all the crazy turns of Covid) lead Jennifer to Big Game Travel. When things opened back up, Jennifer hosted her first Big Game Travel trip to Nashville in 2020, later accepting a full time position in 2023.
When Jenn is not traveling with fans or helping prepare your next trip, you can find her at the farm with her horse, out on the trail with her dogs, or spending time on the water with her friends.
